Krasnodar Region first in Russia to integrate business sites into CIS Digital Map

The agreement was signed by Oleg Chashin, Deputy Director General and Director of the Roskadastr-Infotech Information Technology Centre, a branch of Roskadastr, and Marina Epifantseva, Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Krasnodar Region.

«The Krasnodar Region has become the first region in Russia to sign such a cooperation agreement. Through integration with the digital platforms of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastral Records, and Cartography, investment sites in the Krasnodar Region will become accessible to potential investors from the Commonwealth of Independent States. The Investment Portal of the Krasnodar Region currently lists over a thousand sites and premises with a total potential investment value of more than 1 trillion roubles. The agreement opens up new opportunities for us to promote the region’s investment potential internationally,» said Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel.

Under this collaboration, data on the Krasnodar Region will be published on the Geoportal of the Commonwealth of Independent States. According to Maxim Smirnov, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastral Records and Cartography, the resource already brings together spatial data from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, while work is under way to add data on Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Plotting sites on a digital map will enable potential partners to quickly access information on available sites and assess their location, transport links, utility infrastructure, and other characteristics needed to select a site for a project.
